Spike Lee, Alec Baldwin, Anna Wintour, Mike Tyson, Tina Knowles and Vera Wang are among expected VIPs at the US Open’s opening night gala, we hear.
The USTA Foundation’s gala will be held in the President’s Box of Arthur Ashe Stadium on Sunday, and Gayle King will serve as emcee.
Tennis great and board chair Chris Evert will honor Andre Agassi with the Serving Up Dreams Award at the event as the tourney’s singles competition kicks off.
Also expected at the gala is “Daredevil” star Charlie Cox as well as fashion designer Gabriela Hearst.
Wintour, Baldwin, Wang, Tyson and King have previously been fixtures at the gala, along with stars such as Hugh Jackman, Katie Couric, former New York Mayor David Dinkins and attorney Y. David Scharf.
Last year, stars in the US Open stands catching the action included, most notably, Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce on a double date with Brittany and Patrick Mahomes.
The 14-time Grammy winner and the Kansas City Chiefs star were spotted holding hands heading to the men’s singles final at Arthur Ashe Stadium in Queens at the time.
The A-list couple’s attendance made for some viral moments as they were spotted getting down to Bad Bunny’s “Tití Me Preguntó” at the tennis tournament during a whirlwind weekend in New York at the time.
They also were seen grooving to “I Believe in a Thing Called Love” by The Darkness, which virally rocketed the 2003 song to No. 1 on the iTunes Rock Chart. They dramatically belted out the lyrics with the “Cruel Summer” singer even whipping out the air guitar.
