PHOENIX — Arizona, you did it once again. The KTAR News and Arizona Sports 17th annual Give-A-Thon fundraiser for Phoenix Children’s brought in a record amount of money.

The event, co-presented by Your Valley Hyundai Dealers and Yrefy, is the largest radio hospital fundraiser in the country.

Arizonans came through in a massive way, donating $2,450,030 as of 6 p.m. to assist the youth who need it most in the Valley, but donations were still being counted Friday evening.

“We are deeply grateful to KTAR News, Arizona Sports and our entire community for standing with us,” said Steve Schnall, senior vice president and chief development officer at Phoenix Children’s Hospital Foundation. “The Give-A-Thon is proof of the incredible generosity here in Arizona—when the call goes out, people step up to ensure every child has access to the world-class care they need and deserve.”

Since 2009, the event has raised more than $28.7 million.

All of the proceeds generated directly benefit Phoenix Children’s Hope Fund, which goes to state-of-the-art equipment and technology, cutting-edge research and clinical trials, and more than 170 family-centered philanthropic services and programs.

“The huge hearts and extraordinary generosity of the KTAR News and Arizona Sports audiences, sponsors, team partners, volunteers and our wonderful employees never cease to amaze me. They are all Champions of Hope,” said Bonneville Phoenix Senior Vice President and Market Manager Ryan Hatch.

“With another record-breaking year, we are proud to say that Bonneville Phoenix has now raised more than $28 million in total for Phoenix Children’s and the world class care that they provide for our growing community.”

Donations help support families in need, with an estimated 65% of patients relying on Medicaid. Support also helps Phoenix Children’s expand its reach, drive research (there are more than 700 active studies) and launch new programs.

Every donation mattered for the hospital that in 2024 treated over 268,000 patients with more than 465,000 outpatient visits and 25,000 surgical cases.

The 2025 Give-A-Thon was presented by Your Valley Hyundai Dealers and Yrefy.

A special thanks goes out to our sponsors at America Roofing, Mattamy Homes, TRANE, Sonic, Ace Hardware, Carl’s Jr., Desert Financial Credit Union, Presidential Pools & Spas, Reeis Air Conditioning, Plumbing & Electrical and The UPS Store.
