An Ohio man donning a “Beavis and Butthead” T-shirt was busted for throwing a sex toy from the bleachers at a New York Liberty game – hitting a 12-year-old girl in the leg, cops said.
Charles Burgess, 32, of Dayton, surrendered Wednesday morning at Brooklyn’s 78th Precinct – which covers the area of the Barclays Center, where he allegedly threw the lime green dildo around 8:45 p.m. Aug. 5, police said.
He was charged with two counts of assault, cops said.
Burgess – who cops say has no prior arrests in the Big Apple – was released with “non-monetary conditions” during his Brooklyn Criminal Court appearance later in the day, online court records show.
A photo previously released by the NYPD shows the man, with tattoos up and down his arms, wearing a red and black hat, black shorts, and donning the depraved cartoon duo on a T-shirt.
“The object was thrown from someone much higher up but definitely in the same section,” a fan who was in section 116 texted The Post at the time.
“When it landed, the girl started screaming/freaking out (understandably) for like 30 [seconds] and got the attention of most people within the surrounding rows,” according to the witness.
Barclays Center officials snatched the sex toy up and the Liberty game continued uninterrupted with the home team taking the wind out of the Wings with an 85-76 victory.
Burgess was apparently inspired by the current trend of sex-toy-crazed hooligans attending WNBA games across the country.
In another incident the same day, Indiana Fever star Sophie Cunningham was directly hit by a green dildo during a game against the Los Angeles Sparks.
