DECATUR, Ala. (WHNT) — The Decatur Police Department said four people are accused of assaulting a clerk and robbing a business Wednesday morning.
Around 5:36 a.m., DPD said officers were dispatched to Sunoco on Beltline Road in reference to a robbery call.
Upon arrival, the department said it learned that four people had previously arrived at the business. During the encounter, DPD said the clerk of the business was assaulted and several items were also taken.
A detective was notified and responded to investigate the incident.
During the investigation, the four suspects were identified as Devante Jaquan Taylor, Jada Nicole Kidd, Elbert Junior Anderson and Madison Leondria Gordon.
A short time later, DPD said Taylor and Kidd were found back at the business and taken into custody. The pair was transported to DPD where they were charged with one count of second-degree robbery.
Taylor was booked into the Morgan County Jail on a $25,000 bond and Kidd was booked on a $35,000 bond.
At this time, Anderson and Gordon both have an active warrant for second-degree robbery.
