EXCLUSIVE: Amazon MGM Studios‘ AI-themed feature Artificial from director Luca Guadagnino has continued to round out its cast with five more additions: Will Angus (Almost Friday TV), Thaddea Graham (Bad Sisters), Nicholas Hamilton (It franchise), Angus Imrie (Mickey 17), and Will Price (After the Hunt).

Character details are under wraps, as are official plot details, though the film has been described as a comedic drama set in the world of artificial intelligence. While unconfirmed, sources say the film revolves around the period at OpenAI in 2023 that saw CEO Sam Altman fired and rehired in a matter of days.

As previously announced, other cast members include Andrew Garfield, Yura Borisov, Monica Barbaro, Jason Schwartzman, Cooper Hoffman, Ike Barinholtz, Cooper Koch, Billie Lourd, Zosia Mamet, and Chris O’Dowd. Simon Rich wrote the script and is producing alongside Heyday Films’ David Heyman and Jeffrey Clifford, as well as Jennifer Fox.

Best known as part of the sketch group Almost Friday, which is currently shopping the TV series Last Night Was a Movie, as we were first to report, Angus has previously appeared in The Real Bros of Simi Valley: The Movie. He is repped by UTA, Mosaic, and Sloane Offer.

Previously collaborating with Guadagnino on his upcoming film After the Hunt for Amazon MGM — as did Price — Graham will also soon be seen in Noah Baumbach’s Netflix pic Jay Kelly, as well as the Apple show Margot’s Got Money Troubles. Other credits include Bad Sisters, Sex Education, and Doctor Who, to name just a few. She is repped by Independent Talent Group in the UK.

Hamilton has been seen starring in the recent It films, as well as the acclaimed Captain Fantastic and series like Amazon’s The Pradeeps of Pittsburgh and Gen V. He is repped by Gersh, Mosaic, and Myman Greenspan Fox.

Most recently seen in Bong Joon Ho’s Mickey 17, Imrie’s also been seen in The Serpent Queen, The Crown, Industry, Fleabag, and more. He is repped by ColorCreative, Insight Management & Production, and Jackoway Austen Tyerman.

In addition to After the Hunt, Price will be seen coming up in Maude Apatow’s TIFF-bound directorial debut Poetic License, on which we were first to report, as well as HBO’s Tim Robinson comedy series The Chair Company, and MRC and T-Street’s thriller The Only Living Pickpocket in New York on which we had the scoop. He is repped by Buchwald and Brillstein Entertainment Partners.
