HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WHNT) – North Alabama’s music scene is headed to Nashville this September as the Huntsville Music Office brings two major showcases to AMERICANAFEST 2025.

The “Muscle Shoals meets the Rocket City” showcase celebrates both Muscle Shoals’ legendary legacy and Huntsville’s fast-growing music culture.

This event is on Tuesday, Sept. 9, from 5–9 p.m. at Martin’s BBQ, Downtown Nashville, and is presented by FAME Recording Studios and the Huntsville Music Office.

The lineup includes: Common Man, Karmessa, The LeBlanc Family Band, Kensie Coppin, Steve Knight & GRAMMY® winner Mike Farris.

Back for its second year, the “Rocket City Ramble” delivers a five-hour marathon of music, presented by the Huntsville Music Office in partnership with the Huntsville/Madison County Convention & Visitors Bureau, ASmartPlace, FAME Recording Studios, and Wrangler.

This event will take place on Thursday, Sept. 11, from 12–5 p.m. at Acme Feed & Seed, Broadway, Nashville.

This year’s performers include: The Burney Sisters, Hollan, Jayne & The Huntsmen, The LeBlanc Family Band, Mike Farris & Steve Knight, Treetop & The Gifted.

“We’re excited about opportunities like this that put local talent on a national stage and showcase why we are becoming one of the country’s most exciting music hubs,” Huntsville Music Officer Matt Mandrella said. “The Rocket City bringing some of North Alabama’s best to Nashville for these events in September especially reinforces our position within the Americana Music Triangle.”

Both events are free and open to the public (space permitting), as well as to AMERICANAFEST badge holders.

The AMERICANAFEST is from Sept. 9 to Sept. 13 this year. The event started in 2000.
