The Sioux Falls team was the Midwest champions and is making its fourth Little League World Series appearance. The team won its first game thanks to Maxen Snoozy’s 11 strikeouts, but fell on Monday to the Connecticut team, losing 13-1. Kenson Henderson scored the opening run of the game for Sioux Falls, but Connecticut controlled everything from there.
The Washington team staved off elimination on Sunday with a 3-2 win over Massachusetts. Cole Sehlin came up big with an RBI single in the second inning. Pitcher Sawyer Breed gave up three hits while striking out seven in five innings of work, with Andre Madsen coming in for the save and closing the game out, sending the team through to the next round.
The winner of this game advances to face the winner of the Hawaii and South Carolina game, while the loser heads home.
