MOORESVILLE, Ala. (WHNT) — 1818 farms may be named after Mooresville’s founding year, but what you will find there is the perfect mix of history, hospitality, and hands-on learning.

From sheep grazing the fields to flowers in full bloom, there’s something here for everyone.

The farm is nestled in the small town of Mooresville, and it’s more than just a working a farm; it’s an experience.

At first glance, visitors see the iconic sheep, each with its own name and personality. However, these animals are more than just mascots.

Their wool and milk are at the center of many products Natasha McCrary sells.

As visitors move through the farm, there are rows of colorful flowers, picked for arrangements and other pieces.

The farm’s owner, Natasha McCrary, even offers workshops.

The blooming flowers and leaves have become their own form of art. McCrary uses a process called botanical eco-printing, where leaves and petals are pressed together into fabric to create natural patterns. McCrary says the biggest reward is making people happy through her products and services, and fulfilling a need in her community.

The farm’s bath and beauty products have grown from their commitment to the farm and the need for simple products that work.

Looking at the labels, you will find some of the more popular farm animals, from Farrah Fawcett’s bath tea and Clover’s lip smack to Sweet Pea and her scented shea creme.

From sheep to flowers, to hands-on art, 1818 Farms is giving visitors new ways to bring people together, and it’s proof that beauty is found in the simplest things.
