Two men and a woman were found shot death in a remote area of northeast Antelope Valley Sunday afternoon, law enforcement officials announced.
Details are extremely limited and the exact circumstances around the triple murder are unknown, but officials with the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department said deputies responded to reports of the incident just before 5 p.m.
Investigators said the trio were located near 215th Street East and East Palmdale Boulevard in the city of Lancaster.
It’s unclear if authorities were alerted to the shooting itself or if the reporting party came across the three deceased individuals, who presumably could have been killed at some earlier time, and called the sheriff’s department.
No information was provided on the victims’ identities, nor were their approximate ages reported.
Sheriff’s homicide investigators are assisting the Lancaster Sheriff’s Station with the investigation, authorities said.
Anyone with information about this investigation is encouraged to contact the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department’s Homicide Bureau at 323-890-5500. Those wishing to remain anonymous can call the L.A. Regional Crime Stoppers Hotline at 800-222-8477
