Detectives are searching for additional victims after a man accused in a series of West Los Angeles sexual assaults was freed on bond.
According to the L.A. Police Department’s case update released on Wednesday, 42-year-old Jean Junior Dar, also known as Jean-Que or “Que,” allegedly drugged and sexually assaulted at least three men, all within the Venice and Santa Monica areas, earlier this year.
One victim, a 24-year-old man, told police that Dar drugged and assaulted him in January of 2025. As detectives began investigating the report, they discovered two other men — also in their mid-20s — had similar experiences with Dar.
“In each case, the victims stated they met the suspect at a bar, where he engaged them in conversation before inviting them to an after party,” detailed the LAPD. “The suspect then drove the victims to his residence near Marina Del Rey, where they were given a drink. After consuming the drink, the victims reported becoming incapacitated and that the suspect committed sexual acts without their consent.”
Detectives arrested Dar on May 21 and booked him for the following violations: penetration by a foreign object upon an intoxicated person and oral copulation upon an intoxicated person. Authorities later presented the case to the L.A. County District Attorney’s Office, which then filed multiple felony counts of sexual assault.
However, Dar has since posted bond and was freed from custody as of Aug. 13.
The LAPD said detectives believe there may be additional victims who have not yet come forward, and provided a photo of Dar to assist with identification.
