On Sunday, the Phoenix Mercury will face the Seattle Storm in a matchup that WNBA fans won’t want to miss between two Western Conference foes.

The Mercury currently boasts a 19-13 record, good for second place in the West. They have been playing poorly of late, however, boasting a 4-6 record over their last 10 games, and are coming off back-to-back losses. Most recently, Phoenix fell 86-83 to the Las Vegas Aces despite getting 26 points, five rebounds, and four assists from Satou Sabally, and 15 points, six rebounds, and nine assists from star forward Alyssa Thomas.
Prior to that, the Mercury lost 74-66 to the Atlanta Dream, despite another huge game from Thomas, who had 21 points, eight rebounds, and five assists in the defeat. DeWanna Bonner also had a big game in the defeat, scoring 16 points to go with five rebounds.
The Mercury will look to turn things around on Sunday against a middling Storm team that sits fifth in the West with a 17-17 record. Seattle is just 3-7 in its last 10 games. The Storm are coming off a win, however, having most recently defeated the Dream 80-78 behind 21 points, three rebounds, and 11 assists from star guard Skylar Diggins, as well as 16 points and eight rebounds from Nneka Ogwumike. Forward Gabby Williams also had a good showing, scoring 11 points to go with two rebounds and two assists in the win over the Dream.
