Despite being without star lead guard Caitlin Clark for much of the season due to injury, the Fever have been fighting, boasting an 18-16 record and sitting in third place in the WNBA’s Eastern Conference. The team is coming off back-to-back losses, however, but is 6-4 overall in its last 10 games. Most recently, Indiana fell 88-84 to the Washington Mystics despite 20 points and nine rebounds from Aliyah Boston and 14 points and nine assists from guard Kelsey Mitchell.
Before that, the Fever lost 81-80 to the lowly Dallas Wings, despite 24 points, six rebounds, and two assists from Mitchell and 14 points and three assists from Sophie Cunningham. The Fever will look to get back on track on Sunday against a Sun team that sits with the worst record in the WNBA at 6-26.
In their most recent game, the Sun found a rare victory, defeating the Chicago Sky 71-62 behind 10 points, five rebounds, and four assists from Marina Mabrey, and 15 points and three rebounds from Tina Charles. Lëila Lacan added 17 points, four rebounds, and five assists in the victory.
