(WHNT) — On this edition of our countdown series, let’s visit with one squad that is gearing up for what could be a very successful 2025. The Ardmore Tigers.
The Ardmore Tigers are hungry entering the 2025 season.
The tigers won eight games a season ago but were bounced in the first round of the 5A playoffs by Ramsay.
Coach Jonathan Snider says his team returns a ton of talent and is expecting a great campaign.
“I believe this group is eager to take the next step, you know, now whatever that next step is, we can create some goals or whatever, but I do think they are eager to take that next step, whether it be win a playoff game, host a playoff game, finish top two in the region, whatever that may how you answer that,” Snider said.
Snider says the group has worked hard this offseason, in which the coaching staff elected to have spring practice and take on West Morgan in a spring game.
“It was really good for us as much succes as they’ve had for us to play them and come into that game and really come out very competetive, a lot of our guys got a chance to get their feet wet in live action and I feel like that tweak is it may help us get through any humps that we may face during the year,” Snider said.
One group the Tigers can be excited about is the offensive line, which returns every player from a year ago. Senior William Seabolt says he expects the same results from a season ago.
“Lots of rushing yards. We put up what, how many rushing yards last year, over 2,000, over 2,000. We’re all back, I ain’t expecting any less from us,” Seabolt said.
“You can expect the best out of everybody cause we seen last year how good we could be, and we can build off of it,” he added.
Ardmore will host Tanner to start the year.
