PHOENIX — Pickleman’s Gourmet Café announced last week that it will be opening its first Arizona location in the West Valley.
The restaurant will be opening at Arrowhead Towne Center in Glendale and will also be the first Pickleman’s inside of a shopping center.
“We’re thrilled to bring Pickleman’s to Glendale. The Arrowhead Towne Center location allows us to introduce the brand to a broader, high-traffic audience — and we’re just getting started,” Franchise owners Matt Frick and Joey Liekweg said in the announcement. “Our goal is to make this your new favorite lunch or dinner spot serving thin crust pizza, salads and macaroni bowls — fast, fresh and full of flavor.”
It will be the chain’s 36th location nationwide.
When will Pickleman’s Gourmet Café open?
Pickleman’s is expected to open at the shopping center in late fall or early winter of this year.
The Glendale location is the first of five planned for Arizona, all of which will be owned and operated by Frick and Liekweg.
In addition to the other food it makes, the restaurant is known for its sandwiches and signature pickle chips.
Pickleman’s 20th anniversary is this fall and plans to open between eight and 10 more locations around the nation in the next year.
“Our long-term vision has always been to become a legacy brand, and this is a powerful step in the journey of solidifying our position as America’s Next Hottest Franchise,” Founder Doug Stritzel said. “We’re also getting ready to launch our own private-label chip line — starting, of course, with a craveable pickle flavor that fans are going to love.”
