Ben Affleck’s first birthday in a long time as a legally single man was very low-key.
The “Accountant” star went on a lunch date to Huckleberry Café, a farmer’s market bakery and café located in Santa Monica, Calif., with two of his three children on Friday.
Affleck was celebrating turning 53 on his first birthday since his divorce from Jennifer Lopez was finalized.
Photos obtained by Page Six show he was joined by Seraphina, 16, and Samuel, 13, for the outing.
The teens dressed casually, with Samuel sporting a black Nike T-shirt and khaki pants, and Seraphina wearing a long-sleeved white shirt, jeans and sneakers.
Their dad, meanwhile, looked sharp in a white button-up shirt, khakis and white sneakers.
Affleck was photographed leaving the eatery holding a to-go bag, presumably with more snacks inside.
The Oscar winner shares three children with ex Jennifer Garner. His eldest, Violet, 19, did not appear to attend, as she was not photographed.
The latest sighting comes months after Affleck and Lopez settled their split in January of this year, less than five months after the “Let’s Get Loud” singer filed for divorce following two years of marriage.
In March, the “Good Will Hunting” star insisted in his April 2025 GQ cover story that he still had a lot of respect for the “Hustlers” star. He also said at the time that Lopez’s “Greatest Love Story Never Told” documentary was not the reason for their breakup — despite wide fan speculation.
However, Affleck acknowledged that the exes just had different attitudes toward fame, admitting that he is “more reserved and private than” his pop star ex-wife.
“You’ve got to own what you knew going into any relationship,” the “Armageddon” star noted. “It’s not like you can watch that documentary and go, ‘Oh, now I understand the issues that these two had.’”
Ultimately, Affleck explained the end of their marriage held “no scandal, no soap opera [and] no intrigue.”
“I guess there’s a tendency to look at breakups and want to identify root causes or something,” he further reflected. “But honestly, like I said, the truth is much more quotidian than probably people would believe or would be interesting.”
Prior to Lopez, Affleck was married to Garner, 53, from 2005 to 2018.
