Summary

  • Y-3 hits the tennis court for its Fall/Winter 2025 collection, presenting an 18-piece collection of reimagined sportswear
  • The 18-piece release spans menswear, womenswear, and sneakers, and leans into the Japanese ink techniques of Suibokuga
  • Staged in a lookbook shot by Michael Hauptman, the collection is available to shop now

Y-3 is the latest label to hit the tennis courts. For its Fall/Winter 2025 foray – and just ahead of the U.S. Open – Y-3 is leaning into the sport of the moment, but through its own lens, delivering a dynamic and disruptive reimagining of tenniswear that spans apparel, accessories, and footwear.

The cohesive 18-piece collection redefines the signature sartorial codes of the sport and fully overhauls its visual language, leaning into the connection between performance and creativity by way of the meticulous Japanese ink techniques of Suibokuga. Mirroring fossilized amber, the abstract ink designs captivatingly contrast with the straight lining on the apparel pieces.

Equipped with adidas CLIMACOOL advanced material technology, the apparel is not just visually striking, but also carefully crafted in order to optimize performance on the court. Fabrics used wick and disperse sweat faster, elevated with hidden functional details, including subtle front zippering.

Notable apparel pieces include the Y-3 Tennis FreeLift T-Shirt Pro, hit with large ink splashes around the edges and a Y-3 logo on the left side of the chest. As for footwear, Y-3 reworks a lineup of adidas’ Tennis silhouettes such as the Defiant Speed 2, the Avacourt 2, the Adizero Ubersonic 5, the Barricade 13, and the Adizero Cybersonic 2.

Explore the full Y-3 tennis campaign for Fall/Winter 2025 above, and shop the full range now at the brand’s official webstore.
