Summary

  • The ending theme for Chainsaw Man – The Movie: Reze Arc will be performed by Kenshi Yonezu and Hikaru Utada
  • “JANE DOE,” is a collaboration between the two artists and will be released as a double single on September 24, 2025

Following the announcement of Kenshi Yonezu’s opening theme “IRIS OUT” for Chainsaw Man – The Movie: Reze Arc, a new teaser has revealed the film’s ending theme: “JANE DOE,” a collaboration between Yonezu and Hikaru Utada. The song, composed by Yonezu and performed by both artists, marks a rare and highly anticipated pairing of two of Japan’s most influential singer-songwriters. According to Yonezu, Utada’s melancholic yet breezy vocal tone was the perfect match for the track’s emotional depth, while Utada described the collaboration as a creative challenge that pushed both artists into new expressive territory.

“JANE DOE” will be released as part of a double A-side single alongside “IRIS OUT” on September 24, 2025, through SME Records. The announcement builds on the excitement surrounding the film’s theatrical rollout, which begins in Japan on September 19 and expands to U.S. and U.K. cinemas on October 29.

Directed by Tatsuya Yoshihara and produced by MAPPA, Chainsaw Man – The Movie: Reze Arc adapts the explosive “Bomb Girl” storyline from Tatsuki Fujimoto’s manga. The film’s official trailer teases a dramatic shift in tone, blending high-stakes action with emotional tension as Denji meets Reze, a mysterious café worker whose arrival disrupts his world.
