A woman has complained that she can’t stop tripping over her dog—and now millions have seen why.
TikTok user @_trixxstar has gone viral since posting a video of her dog on August 5, where she complains that her dog has “the nerve to look at me crazy whenever I accidentally trip on her.”
As she speaks, the camera shows what appears to be an empty room, with a wash basket, cabinets, clothes, and a fluffy black rug on the floor.
But as the woman moves the camera, zooming up on the rug, it suddenly moves its head—or rather, the fluffy black dog taking a nap on top of it does.
The dog had appeared completely camouflaged until it moved, with her owner then saying exasperatedly: “But it’s like, girl…”
She added in the caption: “[You’re] not highlighted.”

In another video, the dog’s owner identifies her as a Goldendoodle, a cross between a golden retriever and standard poodle.
While not officially recognized by the American Kennel Club (AKC), the breed is described by Purina as an active breed requiring a lot of exercise, and highly social, meaning they need to be a full part of the family.
TikTok users were in stitches, watching the video 4.4 million times and awarding it more than 860,000 likes, as one commenter joked the dog’s owner “seems to have a type.”
“I had to watch this twice,” another admitted, while one said: “OMG I did NOT see that baby.”
“Didn’t even see her. Was searching for a cat in the cabinet,” another said, while one said they were “staring at the basket.”
Another joked: “Ma’am, your rug woke up,” while another said: “I really didn’t see her! You gotta get a new rug ma’am.”
And one commenter, leaping to the dog’s defense, wrote: “And who bought the rug? I rest my case! My client is innocent.”
But another person replied to that comment and predicted: “Watch, once she change the rug she not even gonna wanna lay there anymore.”
In @_trixxstar’s other videos, the doodle can be found doing tricks, practicing obedience training, sleeping off a long walk, and generally being pampered.
