Summary
- Nike and LEGO expand its partnership to apparel, sneakers and accessories
- The new pieces arrive after the second batch of basketball and sneaker-themed LEGO sets
- The lateset release is slated to feature jackets, socks, backpacks and even a toy basketball
Following the reveal of the next batch of Nike x LEGO sets, the collaboration is gearing up for a later launch to include apparel, sneakers and other toy accessories. The Nike and LEGO partnership recently saw the “Nike Dunk Trickshot” and “Slam Dunk” sets surface as the 454-piece and 809-piece creation, respectively.
With the sneaker aficionado and hope in mind, upcoming expansion goes beyond the toy build to include co-branded ready-to-wear pieces like a jacket, shirt and socks. The jacket, which has surfaced online, appears to take on a red, nylon make featuring the phrases, “MASTER BUILDERS” and “CHAMPIONSHIP ATHLETES” on the back, along with the combined LEGO brick symbol and Nike Swoosh logo. Beyond the apparel, the collection is also said to feature a backpack and a set of Nike Dunk Low sneakers in all-white smooth leather, featuring prominent, black contrasting outlines to give it a pop-art look.
Perhaps one of the more unique accessories include a plastic basketball that features the same LEGO brick and Swoosh co-branding. The textured grip takes the aesthetic of LEGO bricks to give it an added uniqueness. Nike and LEGO first announced its multi-year partnership back in August last year. Take a look at what to expect next above.
