HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WHNT) — Wednesday is Drive Day for News 19’s Great Diaper Drive!
News 19 is partnering with the Food Bank of North Alabama for another Great Diaper Drive! Collections started at several locations throughout the Tennessee Valley on Monday, July 14, with Drive Day on August 13.
For News 19’s Drive Day, our teams will be at the following locations until 7 p.m.:
- Food City in Owens Cross Roads
- Food City on Memorial Parkway
We will also be at Toyota Field for the Trash Pandas’ game to accept donations at the gate. If you bring/make a donation, you will be given a raffle ticket for a chance to win a prize: 10 lucky raffle winners will each win an autographed baseball!
For those who do not know, the Food Bank of North Alabama’s Diaper Bank distributes its collection of diapers and wipes through agencies across 11 counties that the Food Bank serves.
The Food Bank is accepting financial donations, and local Food City stores are also housing several donation bins to take diaper donations starting July 14. You can also donate by texting ‘Diaper’ to 256-746-6112.
The boxes or bags of diapers do not even have to be unopened. The Food Bank accepts open packages of diapers as well, so parents whose children have recently grown out of a size can take those leftovers to the Food Bank.
We also accept cloth diapers, checks written out to the Food Bank of North Alabama, cash donations and adult diapers.
While we will be at the locations listed above, donations will still be accepted at any of the following locations:
DeKalb County
- 1015 Gault Ave S, Fort Payne, AL 35967
Madison County
- 3608 Governors Dr SW, Huntsville, AL 35805
- 10210 N Memorial Pkwy, Huntsville, AL 35810
- 150 Old Gurley Rd NE, Huntsville, AL 35811
- 7060 US-431, Owens Cross Roads, AL 35763

Also in Marshall County, the Arab Chamber of Commerce is accepting Diaper Drive donations!
