Summary:

  • The Nike Air Max Goadome is back with an updated waterproof leather upper, padded ankle collar, and a sturdy rubber outsole.
  • Originally released in the early 2000s, the boot is now available in three colorways: “Black/Sesame/Neutral Olive”, “Summit White”, and “Black”.
  • Embossed ACG branding appears on the lateral side of the midsole.

First launched in 2000, the Nike Air Max Goadome was designed by Carl Blakeslee for Nike’s ACG (All Conditions Gear) line. The goal was to create a functional, street-ready alternative to Timberland’s iconic 6-inch boot, which was gaining popularity among outdoor enthusiasts. However, the Goadome quickly carved out its own niche – especially in inner-city communities – thanks to early 2000s NYC hip-hop culture, which helped elevate the boot to global recognition.

More recently, collaborations like Supreme’s 2021 snakeskin edition have helped keep the Goadome relevant in the streetwear scene as a weather-resistant, Air-cushioned blend of fashion and function – perfect for everyday sidewalk stepping.

Now re-released in “Black/Sesame/Neutral Olive” – one of three colorways currently available on Nike’s website alongside “Summit White” and “Black” – the Goadome features an updated waterproof leather upper, padded ankle collar for comfort and a rugged gum rubber outsole with aggressive lugs for traction. Additionally, it features full-length Air Max cushioning offering solid impact absorption, and carries embossed “ACG” branding on the midsole nodding to its heritage yet reimagined for the modern urban landscape.

The Nike Air Max Goadome is available now on Nike.com for $200.
