On Sunday, August 10, the JoBros kicked off their Jonas20 tour in New Jersey, with Nick telling the audience that after Joe landed a lead role in the Disney Channel Original Movie, their dad finagled a way for Kevin and Nick to get parts as well.
“Joe got the job, and then somehow our dad figured it out to get me and Kevin to be involved in the movie too,” he said, adding, per People, “I think it’s time that we all walk down this memory lane to celebrate a little movie called Camp Rock.” Joe then performed the song “Gotta Find You,” after which he was joined by Lovato to sing “This Is Me” and “Wouldn’t Change a Thing” together. Real Disnerds may remember that Demi and Joe also had a short-lived IRL relationship, but this night was more about their characters, Mitchie and Shane.

Backstage, the pair recorded a video lip-synching the audio of Debby Ryan telling the president of Disney that she wanted to make history (you know what? Debby Ryan is an icon!), and another lip-synching their own Camp Rock song, and generally provided plenty of nostalgia content for the people who got home from Freakier Friday but weren’t ready to leave the 2000s behind. It’s okay. You don’t have to.

In non-nostalgia news, Demi Lovato is gearing up to release more new music this summer with a dance-pop album on the way; she already has a single out, and sources say her upcoming songs will go further in the pop direction. “Over the past few years, Demi has found love, joy, and newfound confidence, making the choice to approach life with much more lightness and fun,” an insider reportedly told Rolling Stone, per Billboard. “She took this sentiment into the studio, which can be felt in every track on this celebratory dance-pop album.” So…Camp Pop?
