The wait is finally over as the NFL preseason is officially here, and these two squads continue their preparation for their opening games of the regular season during this matchup.
We likely will not see many of the stars in action, as all of Justin Herbert, Alvin Kamara, and Jared Verse will almost certainly get the night off. However, there are still plenty of storylines to follow.
Word out of Saints’ camp is that Spencer Rattler has outperformed Tyler Shough so far during Training Camp. A lot can change once facing another team, but if Rattler outplays the rookie during the preseason, New Orleans will probably have no other option than to go with Rattler.
Rattler threw for 1,317 yards, four touchdowns, and five interceptions in six starts last year, while Shough was selected with the 40th overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft.
