LIMESTONE COUNTY, Ala. (WHNT) — A man was arrested after a police chase that began in Tennessee.
LCSO said it was alerted by the Giles County (TN) Sheriff’s Office of a vehicle chase entering Alabama. LCSO deputies and the Ardmore Police Department intercepted the suspect as he crossed the state line.
According to LCSO, the driver, identified as Jason Rose, was driving a 3500 dually pickup truck and continued driving southbound on I-65, throwing items from his truck during the pursuit.
Law enforcement successfully deployed spike strips multiple times in Limestone and Morgan Counties, ending the chase just south of the I-65 bridge in Priceville.
Rose was taken into custody without further incident.
After his arrest, LCSO deputies returned to the place where Rose was seen throwing objects from his truck.
According to LCSO, about one-quarter pound of methamphetamine was found, and additional evidence was seized from inside the vehicle.
Rose is charged with the following:
- Trafficking Methamphetamine
- Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance – LSD
- Unlawful Possession of Marijuana, 2nd Degree
- Possession of a Pistol by a Violent Felon
- Attempting to Elude – Felony
- Tampering with Evidence
- Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
He remains in the Limestone County Detention Facility awaiting a bond hearing. At the time of this incident, LCSO said he was already out on bond for unrelated charges.
