HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WHNT) – The City of Huntsville is launching its third annual LAUNCHPAD concert series, September 5-7 at Big Spring Park West.
The LAUNCHPAD has become a signature tradition for music fans, bringing together local, regional, and national artists across a variety of genres — from smooth jazz to indie rock, alternative to Americana soul.
The free, three-night event will serve as the official kickoff to Huntsville Music Month, a citywide celebration of music running throughout September.
“We’re proud to see LAUNCHPAD evolve into an annual tradition for music fans that shines a spotlight on Huntsville and the talent gracing our stages,” said Huntsville Music Officer Matt Mandrella. “This weekend sets the tone for a month dedicated to music discovery, collaboration and community spirit.”
Each night will feature a curated lineup on the Huntsville Music Office stage, offering a high-energy, family-friendly concert experience. Concertgoers are encouraged to bring their own chairs and blankets.
Huntsville Music Month, led by the City of Huntsville and the Huntsville Music Office, aims to highlight the city’s creative economy and foster connections between musicians, venues, music businesses and fans.
“Music is a part of what makes Huntsville not just a smart place, but a soulful one,” said Mayor Tommy Battle. “LAUNCHPAD reflects our commitment to building a vibrant, welcoming music ecosystem that supports local artists and brings our community together.”
LAUNCHPAD is produced by the Huntsville Music Office with support from Huntsville Parks and Recreation, the City’s Office of Multicultural Affairs, and Downtown Huntsville, Inc.
