The Las Culturistas Culture Awards, a show that was described by Matt Rogers, one of the event’s hosts, as “an awards show that’s really a comedy special disguising itself as an awards show,” made its television debut on Bravo on Tuesday night. As expected, the jokes came early and often as 100 mostly absurd awards were handed out.

The show, created and hosted by Bowen Yang and Mr. Rogers, was born out of their “Las Culturistas” podcast, and debuted as a live event in 2022. This year’s show, which is streaming on Peacock as of Wednesday morning, was filmed in mid-July at the Orpheum Theater in downtown Los Angeles, and drew in a variety of stars, including Jamie Lee Curtis, the stylist Law Roach, Quinta Brunson and the cast of “The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City.”

Award categories included “Best Movie of All Time,” “Worst Sticky Feeling” and “Harshest Truth About ‘Wicked.’” Nominees ranged from actors and celebrities to inanimate objects and indescribable feelings.

Throughout the evening, there was no shortage of quips on pop culture topics, both big and small: nepo babies, the long applause breaks at the Cannes Film Festival and Jeff Goldblum’s chest hair in “Jurassic Park” (an award winner in its own right), to name a few.

Five moments stood out from the rest.

A Blue Origin Spoof Took Flight

After a sequence of visuals of a rocket launching into space and landing back on Earth, the show opened with Mr. Yang and Mr. Rogers, along with the Bravo star Andy Cohen, standing onstage in a cloud of smoke, dressed in jumpsuits with “Blue Origin Too” written on the sleeve.
