Last week, Dallas Cowboys linebacker Micah Parsons turned the football world on its side with a jaw-dropping social media post. As his standoff with the organization continues, teams across the league appear to be keeping a close eye on the situation.
Despite being one of the top defensive talents in the NFL, Parsons and the Cowboys have struggled to come to an agreement on an extension. Early on, it was on par with the front office’s tactics with Dak Prescott and CeeDee Lamb in recent years. However, things have escalated with Parsons.
In an elongated post on X (formerly Twitter), Parsons detailed all his frustrations with how things have transpired with the Cowboys. He capped things off by noting he’s informed the front office that he wishes to be traded.

NFL insider details the latest in the Micah Parsons trade saga
In the days since Parsons publicly told the world of his trade request, the Cowboys have shown no indication of planning to go this route. Working out a deal that keeps the All-Pro linebacker in Dallas remains their primary goal.
Although the Cowboys aren’t ready to make a trade, it hasn’t stopped some teams from trying to pry the young star from Jerry Jones’ grasp.
During Thursday’s installment of Get Up on ESPN, NFL insider Jeremy Fowler detailed the latest regarding Parsons and the Cowboys. He didn’t get into specifics, but reported that at least six teams are interested in trading for the 26-year-old.
Among those who have kicked the tires on Parsons includes a team in the NFC East.
“I’m told there are at least five or six teams that would be interested if Dallas is even willing to do it,” Fowler said. “Including possibly in his own division, by the way. But Dallas has shown no willingness to move him. I haven’t talked to anybody in Dallas who expects him to be outside of the team this year.”

As things continue to try and work themselves out, Parsons has remained professional. He’s been around the team since the start of training camp, though he has been limited in practice as he deals with back tightness.
In light of how this saga has unfolded, there is a cloud of doubt over the idea of Parsons being on the field for the Cowboys in Week 1 against the Philadelphia Eagles.
