The Green Bay Packers and quarterback Jordan Love are facing high expectations entering the 2025 NFL season.
After Love failed to live up to the hype last season despite turning in a solid year, there are a lot of questions surrounding him in 2025. He needs to prove that he can be a high-level franchise quarterback and that he can be capable of leading his team to a Super Bowl run.
Over the last two years, Love has led the Packers to the playoffs in each season. Coming off of the departure of Aaron Rodgers, that was a pleasant surprise and had the team ahead of schedule.
Love has been given an extremely talented offense to work with. While he may not have a true No. 1 wide receiver on the roster, he has a great group of players.

Brian Gutekunst, the general manager in Green Bay, went into the 2025 NFL Draft and brought in more targets for Love. In the first round, Matthew Golden was selected out of Texas. Savion Williams was then drafted out of TCU in the third round.
Already, it’s clear that Love is enjoying what he has been given in Golden.
As shared from Kevin Clark of ESPN, Love spoke out strongly about his new rookie wide receiver.
“Man, I think he’s shown up since Day 1 and just really shown his play style, shown what he’s all about. He came in really polished and has been making plays since Day 1,” Love said.
“He’s got very aggressive hands, he’s a smooth route runner, he’s got speed. So I think for him, it’s just continuing to understand the playbook and wrap his head around everything we have in. We have a very deep system. But you can see, when he knows what he’s doing, and he’s feeling confident, he’s been playing lights out. He’s gonna be a stud.”

Last season, Love played in 15 games for the Packers. He completed 63.1 percent of his passes for 3,389 yards, 25 touchdowns, and 11 interceptions.
At 26 years old, Love once again seems primed for a huge breakout season. With the addition of Golden, those chances increased once again.
If Love is able to live up to the expectations and hype, Green Bay will be a legitimate Super Bowl contender in the NFC.
