Phoenix snapped a two-game losing streak with a dominant 83-67 road win over the Chicago Sky on Sunday, keeping the team firmly in the No. 4 seed in the WNBA. Kahleah Copper led the team in scoring with 25, including shooting 4-for-6 from the 3-point line. Alyssa Thomas had a triple-double, scoring 10 points to go with 10 rebounds, 10 assists, and two steals.
The Sun are playing much better basketball over their last four games, having defeated both the Golden State Valkyries and the New York Liberty in the previous 10 days. Their last game was an 87-78 defeat at the hands of the Liberty, with Tina Charles leading the team in scoring (17), supported by Aneesah Morrow (16) and Bria Hartley (12).
The Mercury defeated the Sun 83-75 back on June 18th and will play again on September 6th.
