Summary

  • Hiroshi Fujiwara and Starbucks Japan reunited for a “BBTEA by FRAGMENT” drink and reusable cup
  • The “BLACK BLACK TEA” is a coffee and tea hybrid with espresso, black tea and vanilla cream
  • The drink, available only at MIYASHITA PARK, comes with a reusable “FRGMT MYST” cup

Hiroshi Fujiwara and Starbucks Japan have reunited for a special “BBTEA by FRAGMENT” offering and a reusable cup.

The limited edition menu item is described by Fujiwara as a hybrid of both coffee and tea, and is based off the designer’s own preferences. “BBTEA by FRAGMENT” — which stands for “BLACK BLACK TEA” utilizes a deep black tea base combined with lightly roasted espresso. A vanilla-flavored syrup and the slight sweetness of fresh cream top it off to give it the hints of a tea drink.

The drink can be enjoyed using the reusable “FRGMT MYST” cup. The front is designed with the FRAGMENT’s iconic Thunderbolt Mark along with the Starbucks insignia.

“BBTEA by FRAGMENT is a hybrid of coffee and tea. It’s a drink that has a good place for two types of drinks. It’s a drink that you can drink as many cups as you want, and you want to carry it around in a tumbler at any time,” Fujiwara said in a translated statement. “Anyway, I made a drink that I wanted to drink myself. Personally, I like ice cream. Please also use it to wake up your sleepiness.”

The “BBTEA by FRAGMENT” is available now exclusively at Starbucks Coffee in MIYASHITA PARK.
