PHOENIX — A suspect was arrested in connection with a north Phoenix shooting that left a woman dead on Friday morning, authorities said.
Johnathan Llamas Cisneros, 47, was taken into custody for allegedly shooting 45-year-old Alma Suchilt, according to the Phoenix Police Department.
Phoenix police said this is considered a domestic violence incident as Llamas Cisneros and Suchilt have a child together.

Officers responded to the area of 40th Street and Meadow Drive around 6:10 a.m. for reports of a shooting.
When police arrived on scene, they found Suchilt with multiple gunshot wounds and she was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries. Suchilt died at the hospital.
The officers that initially responded reportedly found information that led to Llamas Cisneros being identified as a suspect.
Police tracked Llamas Cisneros traveling south on Interstate 8 towards Gila Bend.
A traffic stop was attempted but Llamas Cisneros refused to stop and kept driving.
Phoenix police were eventually able to stop and arrest Llama Cisneros with the assistance of the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office, Department of Public Safety, Border Patrol and Arizona Department of Transportation.
According to Phoenix police, there was evidence found at the time of his arrest that linked Llamas Cisneros to the Suchilt’s murder.
After Llamas Cisneros was interviewed he was booked on multiple charges, including murder and felony flight.
This is an ongoing investigation.
