Ellen DeGeneres’s English Estate
Ellen DeGeneres, the comedian and longtime TV host, and her wife, the actress Portia de Rossi, have listed their country estate in England’s Cotswolds region, just a year after buying it. Their asking price is 22.5 million British pounds, or around $30 million.
The couple had purchased the 43-acre property, located in Swinbrook, Oxfordshire, and known as Kitesbridge Farm, in the spring of 2024, then spent the next few months on renovations. The estate comprises several structures, including the 18th-century main house and a guesthouse. There is also a separate “party barn” with a pub for entertaining and a building that contains an indoor pool, gym and shower facilities.
Ms. DeGeneres and Ms. de Rossi have reportedly moved to a larger, more contemporary estate nearby.
Maroon 5 Frontman Moves On
Adam Levine, the lead singer for the rock band Maroon 5, and his wife, the supermodel Behati Prinsloo, are asking $65 million for their Montecito, Calif., home.
The nearly 3.5-acre property has stunning mountain and ocean views. It features a main house measuring more than 13,000 square feet with nine bedrooms and 14 bathrooms, along with an abundance of amenities. Among them are two guesthouses, a tennis court, a pool and a chicken coop.
Mr. Levine and Ms. Prinsloo have owned the property, which once belonged to the actor Rob Lowe, since 2022.
Tony Parker’s Private Water Park
Hall of Fame basketball player Tony Parker has relisted his estate in Boerne, Texas, near San Antonio, for $16.5 million. His 53-acre property features a 13,300-square-foot, Spanish-style mansion with six bedrooms, five full baths and four powder rooms. There’s also a 1,900-square-foot guesthouse, a nearly 6,000-square-foot gym with, no surprise, a basketball court, and a water park.
Mr. Parker, who starred for the NBA’s San Antonio Spurs, had initially listed the home in 2021.
A Co-op Fit for Hollywood Royalty
The longtime Manhattan home of Paul Newman and Joanne Woodward sold for $14 million, which was well above the $9.95 million asking price from December.
The Hollywood couple had used the nearly 3,000-square-foot penthouse on Fifth Avenue as a pied-à-terre since the early ’80s. The unit, which encompasses half of the top floor of the co-op building, has two bedrooms and two and a half bathrooms, plus two spacious terraces.
The sale was handled by the couple’s children on behalf of Ms. Woodward. Mr. Newman died in 2008.
Set Change for Two Producers
The Broadway producer Jordan Roth sold the Manhattan condo he shared with his husband, Richie Jackson, a TV producer. The closing price for the apartment in the West Village was $19.25 million.
Mr. Roth had bought the apartment for $13.34 million in 2010. The 4,100-square-foot unit has three bedrooms, three and a half bathrooms and great views of the Hudson River.
Mr. Roth, who has won several Tony Awards, is the president of Jujamcyn Theaters, where many successful shows were staged, including “The Book of Mormon” and “Frozen.”
English Estate for Sale
Attention “Pride and Prejudice” fans: You can own a piece of literary, or rather, cinematic history.
A house in rural Wiltshire, England, that appeared in the BBC’s 1995 mini-series based on the Jane Austen novel is once again on the market. The price is 3.95 million British pounds, or around $5.3 million.
The 20-acre Cotswolds estate, which previously had been listed for sale in 2018, was the setting for Longbourn, the home of the fictional Bennet family. The stone house, 11,700 square feet inside, has eight bedrooms and seven bathrooms. There are also four cottages and private gardens on the property.
The listing coincides with the 250th anniversary of Jane Austen’s birth.
