Police are asking the public for help finding three members of a burglary crew that were caught on video breaking into a residence in Torrance over the weekend.
Surveillance images showed one of the suspects wearing dark-colored clothing and a baseball cap peeking into windows and knocking on the door of the home on the 2200 block of Torrance Boulevard Saturday afternoon.
A short time later, two suspects are seen running down the stairs and away from the home as a resident pulls up to the curb.
The suspects are then seen jumping into a vehicle, described as an older-model green BMW, where the third suspect was waiting in an alley just off Torrance Boulevard.
The burglars are believed to have escaped with several stolen items, including a handgun, after forcing the front door open, the Torrance Police Department stated in a news release.
“We are urging anyone who may have seen suspicious activity in the neighborhood during the time of the incident or have information about the suspects, particularly details regarding the green BMW sedan, to come forward,” the Police Department said.
Anyone with information was asked to contact the Police Department at 310-328-3456 regarding Case #250026452.
