A Pasadena little league is seeking the community’s support after reporting that someone broke into its snack shack and shed early Friday morning.
“Our Pasadena Southwest Little League community was shaken,” the organization said in a social media post over the weekend, and attached surveillance photos and videos of the alleged burglary suspect.
According to the league, the suspect stole thousands of dollars’ worth of baseball equipment and supplies, as well as “the spirit of a place built by volunteers, families, and kids who just love the game.”
The videos appear to show a man inspecting the inside of the buildings, possibly scouting out the utilities; however, it’s unclear whether the man takes anything in the footage.
“This space is more than just bats and helmets… it’s where memories are made, friendships are built, and dreams take flight,” said Pasadena Southwest Little League. “To the person who did this: You didn’t just steal equipment, you stole from a community of children who show up every day with heart, hustle, and hope.”
KTLA reached out to police for confirmation on the burglary report, but did not hear back as of 10:20 a.m.
In the meantime, the league is asking for the community’s help to spread the word and find the man from the footage.
“If anyone saw anything suspicious near Allendale Park in the early hours of Friday morning, or has any information that could help, please contact the Pasadena Police Department or DM us directly,” the post concluded.
