The Barnsdall Art Park Foundation has announced the return of one of Los Angeles’ signature summer traditions: its popular Friday night wine tastings on Olive Hill, running through September 2025. Now in its 16th season, the series offers attendees a chance to sip boutique wines, enjoy panoramic views of the city, and support local arts and preservation efforts.
Held on the west lawn of the historic Hollyhock House — the only UNESCO World Heritage Site in Los Angeles — the events feature curated wine selections from Silverlake Wine, rotating local food trucks, music from guest DJs, and access to exhibitions at the Los Angeles Municipal Art Gallery and Barnsdall Junior Arts Center Gallery.
The weekly gatherings begin at 5:30 p.m. and are strictly 21 and over. General admission wine tasting tickets are $48, with a limited number of $37 add-ons available for tours of the Hollyhock House interior.
The 2025 dates include:
- August 1, 8, 15, 22, and 29
- September 5, 12, 19, and 26
Following a sold-out season in 2024, the Foundation has expanded the series into September for the first time, citing ongoing demand. Proceeds from the series directly benefit Barnsdall Park’s programming and restoration projects. Organizers say this support is especially vital this year, as proposed city budget cuts threaten to impact cultural resources across the site.
“Kaiser Permanente has returned as our lead sponsor for 2025, and we’re grateful for their support,” the Foundation said in a statement. “But with looming funding threats, every ticket purchase helps secure the future of Barnsdall Art Park.”
Guests are encouraged to bring blankets and picnics, but no outside alcohol, pets, lawn furniture, or children are allowed. Parking is limited, and organizers recommend using Metro or rideshare services.
Tickets are available now through the Barnsdall Art Park Foundation website.
For accessibility accommodations, attendees are asked to contact [email protected] in advance.
