Arsenal is coming off a season in which it finished second in the English Premier League table, behind Liverpool, with 74 points in 38 matches. They achieved a record of 20 wins, 14 draws, and four losses, along with a plus-35 goal differential. That season qualified Arsenal for Champions League play yet again this year, giving the club another chance at a major trophy in 2025-26.
Newcastle United, meanwhile, also enjoyed a great season, finishing fifth on the English Premier League table with 66 points in 38 matches based on a record of 20 wins, six draws, and 12 losses, and a plus-21 goal differential. Newcastle United will likewise play in the Champions League competition next season.
