Hulk Hogan’s wife posted a heartfelt tribute to the late pro wrestler and reality TV mainstay on Friday, revealing that his death was “sudden and impossible to process” after he “had been dealing with some health issues.”

“I wasn’t ready for this…and my heart is in pieces,” Sky Daily Hogan wrote in a Friday Instagram post alongside a photo of her kissing Hogan’s cheek. “He had been dealing with some health issues, but I truly believed we would overcome them. I had so much faith in his strength. I thought we still had more time.”

Hogan, whose real name is Terry Bollea, died on Thursday in Florida at the age of 71. Clearwater authorities said in a statement they responded to a “cardiac arrest” call at 9:51 a.m. at his home, and he was later transported to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 11:17 a.m.

Police Maj. Nate Burnside told reporters on Thursday that while his authorities will investigate Hogan’s death, “there are no signs of foul play or suspicious activity related to this call for service.”

Sky Daily Hogan, the pro wrestler’s third wife after tying the knot in September 2023, called his death “sudden and impossible to process.”

“To the world, he was a legend… but to me, he was my Terry. The man I loved. My partner. My heart,” she wrote. “Hulk loved his fans so much and despite his growing physical discomfort, he did everything he could to show up, sign autographs, take photos, and connect with the people who supported him through it all. You meant everything to him.”

Already well-known to the wrestling world for the “Hulkamania” craze of the 1980s, Hogan gained widespread recognition after appearing in several films like the third installment of the “Rocky” film franchise, and his reality show, “Hogan Knows Best.”

The mid-2000s VH-1 hit series, which was canceled in 2007, followed his life with his first wife, Linda, and their two children, Brooke and Nick. Linda Hogan filed for divorce the same year the show was canceled.

“He was a believer in Christ, and I take comfort knowing his soul is at peace and he’s been welcomed home,” Sky Daily Hogan wrote. “Please keep his family and all of us who loved him in your prayers as we try to navigate this new reality.”
