Drake just unveiled a closer look into his renovated “Air Drake.” The heavily customized Boeing 767-300F isn’t just a private jet — it’s a physical extension of the brand he’s built: global, ambitious, and unapologetically luxe.

Visually, the aircraft has always made a statement. What was once a more vintage, slightly pink-toned interior has since been updated to reflect a cooler, more contemporary mood — now outfitted with purple LED lighting and a dedicated movie room tailored for long-haul travel. “It’s, like, probably one of the craziest moments of my life,” Drake shared, reflecting on how the jet came to be. “I actually didn’t believe it until AJ told me, ‘I’ma get you the biggest jet in the game. Out of anybody, it would be you and the President — that’s it.’” That promise turned into what is now one of the most extravagant private planes in music.

Its original livery, designed in collaboration with the late Virgil Abloh, featured a soft sky-blue and white cloud-like finish, complete with Drake’s OVO owl on the tail and bold “Air Drake” branding along the engines. Originally constructed in 1996 as a freighter, the aircraft was acquired by Drake in 2019 through a strategic partnership with Cargojet, a Canadian cargo airline. The deal, reportedly involving no direct payment, hinged on Cargojet’s belief that Drake’s global visibility would generate significant brand exposure. They weren’t wrong. In the years since, Air Drake has become one of the most talked-about aircraft in pop culture.

The base value of the 767 comes in at around $185 million, but the real story is in the transformation. An estimated $80–100 million USD in upgrades brought the plane into an entirely different category of private aviation. It now accommodates between 30–45 passengers, prioritizing space, comfort, and long-haul performance over maximum capacity.
