Brendan Queen is the current points leader, winning three times in nine races this season and posting seven top-five finishes with an average finish of 6.0.
Lawless Alan isn’t far behind. While he’s only won one race, his overall average finish is better than Queen’s at 5.8, putting him just nine points back of Queen. Lavar Scott has the best average finish of the full-time drivers at 5.2, with a top 10 in all nine races this year. He is 17 points behind Queen in a tight championship battle.
Last race at Lime Rock, part-time driver Thomas Annunziata won in the Nitro Motorsports No. 70 car, while another part-timer, Alon Day, was second. Alan was the top finisher of the title contenders in third, with Queen finishing fourth and Scott seventh.
Last year, Connor Zilisch, who currently races in the Xfinity Series, won this race, followed by two other drivers who’ve moved up the NASCAR ladder, with Giovanni Ruggiero in second and Carson Kvapil in third. Scott was fourth, while neither Alan nor Queen was in the field.
