Simon Cowell is bringing his talent scouting skills to Netflix. The man behind The X Factor and Got Talent formats is fronting a six-part docuseries for the streamer as he searches for his next breakout band.
Simon Cowell: The Next Act is one of the streamer’s latest unscripted orders, which also include Let’s Marry Harry, starring Harry Jowsey, who starred in Netflix’s Too Hot To Handle, reality series Calabasas Confidential and Members Only: Palm Beach, and true-con title Love Con Revenge.
Elsewhere, Netflix has renewed The Ultimatum: Marry or Move On for a fourth season and King of Collectibles: The Goldin Touch for a third season.
Simon Cowell: The Next Act follows Cowell as he tries to create the “next global boyband sensation” and will see him involved in open casting calls and single releases. Premiering in December, it comes from Cowell’s Syco Entertainment and Box to Box Films with Cowell exec producing alongside James Gay Rees, Paul Martin, Warren Smith and Cassie Bennet.
Let’s Marry Harry comes from Alex Cooper’s Unwell, which has worked with Jowsey on his podcast Boyfriend Material. The eight-part series will see Jowsey hand the reins of his love life to those who know him best. Cooper, Matt Kaplan and Mina Lefevre exec produce.
Calabasas Confidential, set in the exclusive area of LA best known for the Kardashians, follows a group of childhood friends, exes, and rivals as they return to their hillside mansions after four years at college. The eight-part series, which launches in 2026, comes from Wheelhouse’s Spoke Studios and is exec produced by Brent Montgomery, Courtney White, Gardner Reed, Will Nothacker, Ally Gasparian, Alex Rosenberg and Bill Dixon.
Spoke Studios also produces King of Collectibles: The Goldin Touch, which follows Ken Goldin and his auction house.
Members Only: Palm Beach follows a group of women navigating the unspoken rules, inherited traditions and high-stakes hierarchies of America’s most rarefied social circles. Produced by 3BMG’s Superluna Studios, the eight-part series, which launches in December, is exec produced by Johnny Gould, Darren Ward, Adam Karpel, Ross Weintraub and Reinout Oerlemans.
Love Con Revenge follows The Tinder Swindler star Cecilie Fjellhøy as she partners with female private investigator, Brianne Joseph, to expose romance scammers and help victims reclaim control, one takedown at a time. From Warner Bros.-backed Twenty Twenty Productions, the series is exec produced by Chris McLaughlin and Ruth Kelly.
Finally, Age of Attraction, the dating show from Velvet Hammer Media that Deadline revealed earlier this year, will be hosted by Nick Viall and Natalie Joy.
