Several hard drives filled with unreleased music from Beyoncé were stolen from a car during the pop star’s Cowboy Carter tour stop in Atlanta.
CNN reports that law enforcement responded to a call regarding the theft on July 8. The unnamed caller stated, “They have my computers, and it’s really, really important information in there.” The caller continued, “I work with someone who’s like, of a high status, and I really need the, um, my computer and everything.”
The preliminary investigation revealed that the crime occurred in a Jeep Wagoneer rented by Bey’s choreographer. The vehicle was parked on the first level of a parking area on 99 Krog St. NE. Among the stolen items were two laptops and hard drives with “watermarked music, unreleased music, footage plans and past and future set lists.”
Two suitcases owned by choreographer Christopher Grant and Beyoncé’s backup dancer Diandre Blue were also taken. Grant reported that $1,000 USD worth of clothing, a pair of Tom Ford sunglasses priced at $500 USD and a $750 USD Tumi book bag were taken, while Blue reported a MacBook Air and a pair of headphones.
The Atlanta Police Department confirmed that they have issued an arrest warrant for an unnamed suspect, but no further details were released.
Beyoncé performed a total of four shows at Atlanta’s Mercedes-Benz Stadium on July 10, 11, 13 and 14. She’ll then be in Las Vegas for her show in July 25.
