Simone Bellotti is set to show his first Jil Sander collection this September, formally making his debut as Creative Director come Milan Fashion Week. But first, Bellotti has something else to share – and it’s a music video.
Dubbed “WANDERLUST,” the music video premiered on Instagram earlier this morning, complete with creative oversight from Bellotti and backed by ethereal, electronic music by Bochum Welt (the stage name of Italian composer Gianluigi Di Costanzo) that is inspired directly by “the dual essence” at the core of Jil Sander.
Shot in Hamburg, Germany, the video, as described in an Instagram caption, seeks to tell “a wanderlust tale happening in an everyday setting, drifting between worlds and opposites.”

In an interview with Vogue, Bellotti shared more on the sonic endeavor.
“Jil Sander has a definite style—that’s why it’s still so loved, admired, and respected,” he began. “Jil Sander is a brand with a soul. It’s a complex house, one that holds within it extreme classicism, something very modern, and a kind of weightless lightness … It’s a brand that has lived a long life, and every designer who’s passed through its doors has helped uphold its high reputation.”
Stay tuned for Bellotti’s first ~official move at the fashion house.
