Los Angeles County officials and U.S. Postal Service leaders celebrated the grand opening of a new Village Post Office on Wednesday inside Webster’s Pharmacy in Altadena.
Located at 2333 N Lake Ave, Unit D, the village post office offers limited services, such as the sale of First-Class Forever stamp booklets, free Priority Mail flat-rate supplies, and the acceptance of prepaid Priority Mail Flat Rate products and packages.
Village Post Offices are located in non-Postal Service establishments, such as community businesses, town halls, or government centers, offering basic mailing services where traditional post offices may not be available.
The postal office inside Webster’s Pharmacy will operate during the store’s regular business hours: Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
“The Postal Service sincerely appreciates its customers and thanks them for their patience as efforts continue to expand and restore services for Altadena customers,” the agency said in a statement.
For additional postal services, customers can visit the Pasadena Post Office at 600 Lincoln Ave., Pasadena, CA 91109, or access USPS services online at usps.com.
The new post office location opened after the local Altadena Postal Office was destroyed in the Eaton Fire back in January.
