EXCLUSIVE: Guy Burnet (Fubar, Oppenheimer) and Miriam Silverman (Your Friends And Your Neighbors) have joined the cast of the Paramount+ series Landman for Season 2.

They join stars Billy Bob Thornton, Demi Moore, Andy Garcia, Sam Elliott, Ali Larter, Jacob Lofland, Michelle Randolph, Paulina Chávez, Kayla Wallace, Mark Collie, James Jordan and Colm Feore.

From co-creators Taylor Sheridan and Christian Wallace, Landman is a modern-day tale of fortune seekers in the world of oil rigs. Based on the 11-part podcast Boomtown, the series is an upstairs-downstairs story of roughnecks and wildcat billionaires fueling a boom so big that it’s reshaping our climate, our economy, and our geopolitics.

In recurring guest roles, Burnet will play Charlie Newsom, a very charming oil and gas engineer, and Silverman will play Greta Stidham, an intimidating university admissions counselor.

Landman is executive produced by Sheridan, Wallace, David C. Glasser, David Hutkin, Ron Burkle, Bob Yari, Geyer Kosinski, Michael Friedman and Stephen Kay. Dan Friedkin and Jason Hoch, for Imperative Development LLC, and J.K. Nickell and Megan Creydt, for Texas Monthly, also executive produce. Peter Feldman serves as co-executive producer.

The series is produced by MTV Entertainment Studios, 101 Studios and Sheridan’s Bosque Ranch Productions exclusively for Paramount+.

Landman is the latest addition to Sheridan’s growing slate on Paramount+, which includes 1923, 1883, Lioness, Mayor of Kingstown, Tulsa King and Lawmen: Bass Reeves.

British-American actor Burnet stars in Netflix’s Fubar opposite Arnold Schwarzenegger and appeared in Christopher Nolan’s Oscar-winning Oppenheimer. He next stars in Reykjavík with Jeff Daniels and The Beast with Samuel L. Jackson. Burnet’s past work includes Dead for a Dollar, alongside Christoph Waltz and Willem Dafoe, as well as Pitch Perfect, Mortdecai, and role in The Feed, Electric Dreams, Counterpart, Ray Donovan, and The Affair. He made his U.S. stage debut on Broadway in Murder in the First. He is repped by Lasher Group, The Way, and Paul Hastings.

Silverman won the 2023 Tony Award for Best Featured Actress in a Play for her performance as Mavis in the Broadway production of The Sign In Sidney Brustein’s Window, as well as winning the 2023 Drama Desk Award for the same role at BAM. Silverman can currently be seen recurring on the hit series Your Friends And Neighbors, which is in production on season 2. She is also in production on the upcoming limited series Vladimir. Her additional TV credits include The Night Agent, Dead Ringers, The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, Fleishman is in Trouble, The Blacklist, and Blue Bloods. She is repped by Paradigm Talent Agency and Untitled Entertainment.
