Despite Connecticut’s 3-18 record, this is a game the Fever and WNBA fans have had circled on their calendar. The last time these two faced off, it got chippy, with Caitlin Clark being poked in the eye before being pushed to the floor by the Sun’s players.
Being physical with Clark has been a constant theme for defenders since she entered the league, and Sophie Cunningham finally said enough, retaliating late in the game with a hard foul on Jacy Sheldon as she drove towards the basket. The altercation continued as both sides got into it on the floor, resulting in ejections.
While Indiana would be happy with a win as they try to climb up the Eastern Conference standings, they will probably be looking to put a beating on Connecticut tonight, which should make for quite the entertainment. The Sun also will likely not back down from the challenge, and it could very well end up being another physical game tonight.
This is a great WNBA matchup that you will not want to miss; make sure to tune in and catch all the action.
