The Baltimore Ravens and superstar quarterback Lamar Jackson appear to be one of the top contenders in the AFC heading into the upcoming 2025 NFL season.
Over the last couple of years, the Ravens simply haven’t made the necessary plays in the playoffs to make a Super Bowl run. They have had the talent to win a championship, but simply have not gotten the job done.
Entering the 2025 campaign, could it finally be Baltimore’s turn to win the AFC and have a shot at a Super Bowl win? It’s quite possible and fans are starting to get hyped up with the season drawing closer.
Last season, Jackson put together an MVP-worthy performance. While he did not win the award, finishing behind Buffalo Bills signal caller Josh Allen, it was the best season of his career to this point.

He completed 66.7 percent of his pass attempts for 4,172 yards, 41 touchdowns, and just four interceptions, while also running for 915 yards and four more scores.
Former NFL quarterback Dan Orlovsky is expecting big things from Jackson and the Ravens this season. He spoke out boldly in a recent statement.
When talking about who the next quarterback to win their first Super Bowl will be, Orlovsky boldly stated that he believes Jackson will be that player.
“I’m going Lamar. It has to be Lamar. It’s the third year in a row for Baltimore. It just is,” Orlovsky said. “They got to go win it. This is the third year that we’ve sat here and said, ‘That’s the best team.’ Two years ago, they had the No. 1 defense in football and they fell short. And then last year, they had the No. 1 offense in football and fell short. This is the best roster in the NFL, outside of Philadelphia. It’s offensive line is going to be top three. Lamar’s coming off arguably his best season in the NFL. Their perimeter players are fantastic.”

Orlovsky makes a great point. On paper, Baltimore has appeared to be a championship favorite. The roster is loaded with talent on both sides of the ball.
Now, it’s on John Harbaugh and Jackson to find a way to get the Ravens over the hump. They should have a very legitimate shot to do so.
Assuming the team is able to stay healthy throughout the 2025 season, Baltimore is going to be very dangerous. If Jackson can continue playing at the level he showed last season, he could be hosting the Lombardi Trophy when everything is said and done.
