Joe Freshgoods’ partnership with New Balance recently hit a milestone of five years together, culminating in the duo’s 992 “Aged Well” that dropped back in February. He’s also celebrating this anniversary by opening up his archive of New Balance collaborations for a 24-hour sale. Meanwhile, it looks like Freshgoods is cooking up more sneakers with the American sportswear brand as his take on the new ABZORB 2010 sneaker, which debuted in May, has surfaced.
Our initial preview of the Joe Freshgoods x New Balance ABZORB 2010 sees the shoe begin with a gray mesh base at its upper. From there, a mix of peach corduroy, rust red suede, brown suede, and cheetah print-inspired hairy overlays all come together for a one-of-a-kind look. Meanwhile, the ABZORB-based sole unit sees off-white accompanied by brown. As for its branding, the midfoot’s “N” logos favor silver while a black chain with “JFG” initials nods to Freshgoods.
At the time of writing, neither Joe Freshgoods nor New Balance have indicated when this new collaborative take on the ABZORB 2010 sneaker will be dropping. Stay tuned for updates, including the campaign’s official unveiling, as we expect the new project to arrive later this year via Joe Freshgoods and New Balance, likely just above the model’s typical $160 USD price point.
