Vice President JD Vance clapped back at California Gov. Gavin Newsom’s brusque jab on X after the former Ohio representative was spotted visiting Disneyland with his family over the weekend.

Videos of the Vance family, including the vice president with his two children and wife Usha, enjoying the California amusement park quickly spread online on Saturday, eventually reaching Newsom’s feed.

The lefty governor — who was busy this weekend addressing the lawsuits California is currently facing on top of a disastrous raid on illegal immigrants at a marijuana farm — tried to light a proverbial fire under Vance’s feet as he took to X to share his grievances over the family enjoying a weekend out.

“Hope you enjoy your family time, @JDVance. The families you’re tearing apart certainly won’t,” Newsom wrote on X.

Vance, though, was unperturbed.

“Had a great time, thanks,” he responded plainly.

While the Vances were galavanting around Disneyland, roughly 150 protesters stood outside the gates berating the VP. Separate protests were also taking place in Anaheim, the epicenter of recent immigration raids, just two miles away from the amusement park.

Even more protesters showed up at the hotel where the Vances were rumored to be staying.

The family’s trip, while not a political endeavor, did include advancements in the Second Lady’s literacy mission as she visited Camp Pendleton and read to children of active duty military members.

Newsom — who has been rumored to be eyeing a potential 2028 presidential run — has been in a bitter feud with the Trump administration since inauguration day in January.

The Democrat particularly locked horns with President Trump after anti-ICE protests shot out of control in June.

Trump went over Newsom’s head and called in the National Guard, which Newsom asserted only made matters worse.

After more than 200 illegal immigrants were detained at a marijuana farm last week, Trump gave sweeping permission for federal agents to also arrest “slimeball” protesters who were waiting at the site ahead of the anticipated raid.

A judge quickly blocked Trump’s order for the indiscriminate arrests, citing its unconstitutionality.
