Last week, these two teams played each other at Colorado School of Mines, with the Shred winning 24-18.
Both teams had high completion percentages, with the Shred at 96 percent and the Summit at 95 percent, but the huck and hold percentages were where things differed. The Shred had an 85% huck rate while the Summit was at just 45 percent. In hold percentage, the Shred was at 95 percent while the Summit was at 65 percent.
Salt Lake’s Matt Russnogle made the league’s Honor Roll list for his showing last weekend. He had eight scores, a block, and no turnovers in the victory, then turned around and had another big showing the next day as the Shred took down the Bighorns. Russnogle now has 7 goals for the season, fifth-most in the league despite being the oldest player on the Shred roster at 32 years old.
