With the Wizards having yet to play this summer, Friday represents the first chance for top draft pick Tre Johnson to make his Summer League debut for the team.
Johnson has been labeled as the best shooter in the draft class after averaging 19.9 points per game on nearly 40 percent shooting from distance as a freshman for Texas. If he gives it a go, it will be an exciting day for the franchise and its fans, as they will get to see what the first-year player might have in store this upcoming season.
Duke product Khaman Maluach might also take part in his first Summer League action as well in this one, and the high-flying big man might ultimately end up being the steal of the draft at pick ten overall. Maluach is a raw talent who possesses all the tools to be a successful player at the next level, and he can make Phoenix look good right away if he suits up and puts on a show right from the start.
This is a great NBA Summer League matchup; make sure to tune in and catch all the action.
